STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP SET TO TRANSFORM CONNECTIVITY,REDUCE COST AND EXPAND DIGITAL INCLUSION NATIONWIDE
In partnership with the award winning Galaxy Space and NTEL, we are launching Nigeria’s first homegrown Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite, designed to deliver 6G connectivity at significantly reduced cost.
This initiative represents a significant leap in Nigeria’s digital evolution. LEO satellites operate closer to the Earth compared to traditional satellites, enabling faster data transmission, lower latency, and broader coverage particularly for under-served and remote communities. By leveraging this technology, the project aims to deliver high-speed internet access at a significantly reduced cost, bridging connectivity gaps across the country.
Beyond its technological impact, the project aligns with national priorities to strengthen digital infrastructure, promote innovation, and drive inclusive economic growth. It is expected to enhance access to digital services, support enterprise development, and enable wider participation in the digital economy.
The collaboration underscores Nigeria’s growing capacity not just to adopt global innovations, but to actively contribute to their development. It also highlights the importance of strategic partnerships in building sustainable, future-ready infrastructure.
As the initiative progresses, it is poised to position Nigeria as a key player in Africa’s emerging space and telecommunications ecosystem marking a bold step toward a more connected and technologically empowered nation.
