FIC Supports Verification and Transparent Disbursement of the Nano Grant
In May 2024, the Kogi State Government, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, launched the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme (Nano Grant); a strategic intervention aimed at supporting nano and micro entrepreneurs across the state.
As a key implementation partner on the ground, FIC Professionals is proud to have played an active role in coordinating field-level activities for the scheme through our network of certified agents, working in collaboration with the Bank of Industry (BOI).
Coordinating last-mile execution across Kogi
The Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme was designed to reach real small-scale business owners; market traders, artisans, and other micro operators; many of whom are typically excluded from formal funding opportunities.
To support this objective, FIC Professionals deployed trained field agents to help ensure the exercise was executed efficiently and with integrity, including:
1. Verification of beneficiaries to confirm eligibility and reduce duplication
2. Identity confirmation and data capture support where applicable
3. On-ground coordination with stakeholders to keep the process orderly and inclusive
4. Support for transparent and accountable disbursement, in line with programme standards

In partnership with BOI, our certified agents helped provide the structure needed for an initiative of this scale ensuring that genuine beneficiaries were properly verified and that disbursement followed a clear, traceable process.
